Biography

Luz Moyano / Buenos Aires, 1969.

Luz Moyano lives and works in Buenos Aires. She studied Fine Arts at the Pridiliano Pueyrredón School. She attended art clinic classes with Diana Aisenberg and Púrpura “The Oracle”, Training Program for artists. In 2001, she won a National Fund for the Arts scholarship for postgraduate studies at the Domus Academy in Milan.

She has exhibited her work since 2002, both individually and collectively, both in her country and abroad. She worked as a cartoonist for the national newspaper La Nación from 1998 to 2016. She was a teacher at the Ricardo Rojas Cultural Center, giving drawing and painting workshops. Since 2004, she has edited the art tabloid magazine La Tendencia.

In 2024, she was selected for the 54th Félix Amador National Salon of Visual Arts. In 2025, she participated in the Uberbau_house Contemporary Art Research Residency in São Paulo, Brazil. She is currently a thesis student for the Master’s in Curatorship in Visual Arts, UNTREF.
